The National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership (cohort 5)
An exciting way to develop leadership. The National Professional Qualification (NPQML) is a course accredited by the Department of Education (DFE).
The online course comprehensively cover the 6 new NPQ content areas, using the most up to date theory and research. 16 hours of facilitated learning over 3 two week programmes includes opportunity for reflection, research, discussion and networking, but at a time that is convenient for you. This allows greater flexibility than a traditional course. The online element is blended and complimented by face to face days with our extremely experienced facilitators. These sessions will include coaching, development sessions and a diagnostic 360 online evaluation as well as programme support.

Who can apply?
You should be a middle leader (or aspiring middle leader) in a school with the responsibility of leading a team, for example:
- a key stage leader
- a curriculum area leader
- a pastoral services leader
- a subject leader
- a head of department
Assessment
NPQML participants will be assessed on a written account of the school based task which will demonstrate impact at a subject / department / sub team level of no more than 4500 words as well as a presentation of the school based project. Final assessment is within a target period of 12 months of starting the course.
